Review: It's not like its a secret by Misa Sugiura

Rate:
3/5

Goodreads Desciption:
Sixteen-year-old Sana Kiyohara has too many secrets. Some are small, like how it bothers her when her friends don’t invite her to parties. Some are big, like that fact that her father may be having an affair. And then there’s the one that she can barely even admit to herself—the one about how she might have a crush on her best friend.

When Sana and her family move to California she begins to wonder if it’s finally time for some honesty, especially after she meets Jamie Ramirez. Jamie is beautiful and smart and unlike anyone Sana’s ever known. There are just a few problems: Sana’s new friends don’t trust Jamie’s crowd; Jamie’s friends clearly don’t want her around anyway; and a sweet guy named Caleb seems to have more-than-friendly feelings for her. Meanwhile, her dad’s affair is becoming too obvious to ignore anymore.

Sana always figured that the hardest thing would be to tell people that she wants to date a girl, but as she quickly learns, telling the truth is easy… what comes after it, though, is a whole lot more complicated.

Review:
About the first 40-60% of the book was enjoyable at first but then slowly I started to grow bored of it. I don't know what exactly happened. At this point of the month I have started to read average after average book and that could've been the reason. At this point in the year, I have read a shit ton of books and when that happens, I start to see a pattern and books become predictable. Shit starts to happen for Sana and towards the last half it is almost as if the author remembered that Sana needed to have a moment of growth and have her have problems in her life and added everything to her storyline. After that she tried to resolve them all and it all just jumbled together. It felt as if I was trying to watch a movie and the signal kept going amiss.

Now the last thing that really fucking irked me, SPOILER ALERT

Cheating. Let's just... that's not cute. Sure the characters are like madly in love and they didn't have the heart to break their partners heart and they couldn't stay away from their loved one any more but really. Must you cheat. Like, for some people reading these types of plots its like awwww they are finally together. Like no... That's a douche thing to do.

Review: Pride and Prejudice. by Jane Austen

Rate:
5/5

Goodreads Description:
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.” So begins Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen’s witty comedy of manners—one of the most popular novels of all time—that features splendidly civilized sparring between the proud Mr. Darcy and the prejudiced Elizabeth Bennet as they play out their spirited courtship in a series of eighteenth-century drawing-room intrigues. Renowned literary critic and historian George Saintsbury in 1894 declared it the “most perfect, the most characteristic, the most eminently quintessential of its author’s works,” and Eudora Welty in the twentieth century described it as “irresistible and as nearly flawless as any fiction could be.”

Review:
My first Jane Austen book! I do wish I had actually gone the physical book route because I went with the audiobook and it all seemed to go so fast. To me this was the type of book that you had to turn the pages at your own pace. That being said, I really enjoyed this book anyways but for I fact I will still have to go back and physically go through the book because it felt a little fast and like things didn't stick. It made me so happy to finally meet Mr. Darcy and all these characters that are frankly iconic. Now, the characters just seemed to opposite of me in every way, very self absorbed in a way that just made me roll my eyes. In any other book this would've been a massive turn off but blissfully, I really though of how things where back in the day and how women didn't really have a choice in many matters during that time. Before I continue to read another Jane Austen novel, I will attempt to revisit this one in the near future.

Diana Prince

So I have previously shared why I posting this so be sure to check up on my post about Bellatrix. I couldn't post about Bellatrix and not post anything on Diana, so here it is.

This is the day that I adopted her. She face of pure evil. Look at how tiny and cute and fuzzy and just... Agh.. she was everything. Still is.

Very much like Bella she has her own weird habbits

She would growl at all her toys

Prefers to drink out of faucets

Imitates her sisters chattering... And kind fails at it.

often plays tug-of-war... Even with herself

Likes to watch TV

Gets in places she probably shouldn't

She of course also sleeps in any position

The sink is still one of her favorite places to sleep in, surely she wont feel the same during the winter.

The worst part of all is that even in the worst of places, she still manages to look good for the camera. I swear she poses.

Purrito actually doesn't mind baths... Actually, she doesn't mind many things at all, she is pretty damn fearless, she truly lives up to her name.

Even with a belly pouch, she still manages to look good. Yes, I am totally jealous.
