I freaking LOVED this! The messages that you start to get throughout this book as you read it. I releate to many of them. The insecurities you get with other people because you are fat. Well not you but me XD. Like people tell you youre beautiful and funny or just great and possitive things and sometimes I just sit there like "youre such a liar, stop lying. Thats just not true." When I last had a boyfriend, he was this 6 foot something, thin, baseball player. People considered him attractive. He was my boyfriend so duh, I found him attractive too XD. But like I would always ask myself what he could possibly see in me. Every time he would wrap his arms around me in the beggining of the relationship, I would just freak out. Even torwards the end of the relationship I would still get this split second of freaking out before I would be like well, we have been together so long, whatever. But still, even with friends now a days, I still question everything possitive that they tell me. I wonder why they even hang out with me. After reading this book however, I realized that my fatness should really be something to hold me back. Itll only be as bad as I make it to be. I would probably be considered normal by the beauty standards in the 50s XD Not the point, the point is that this book is beautiful and hilarious. I loved everything about it! Every single page of it

Review:

Bit disappointed by it after the first book.

But lets not start with negatives. I liked the Lily was back and with Rowan. I love the world building that Angelini does, that's always a tough thing to do in my opinion, make another world seem possibly and like you're there with the characters, seeing it all without a question. The story itself is very ... addicting? I cant think of the proper word. Like the reader gets really into it.

Now onto what I didn't really like about it. I didn't like the way that Angelini kept the secrets that Lily wouldn't tell Rowan, I felt as if  Rowan became not so ... THERE as he was in the first book.

And i felt as if this was kind of from the very beginning. The whole like... lacking romance part of the book.

Maybe because it focused more on action than it did on romance?

I was hoping for romance xD

BUT

that cliffhanger though!

Recommend it?

mmmm just brace yourself that its not as good as the first book.

OR if youre hoping for more romance, this is for you.

So  I got this book the other day, thanks to the wonderful author and publisher over at Simon and Schuster.

I wouldve finished it a day earlier than expected but I went out u.u But it was freaking good.

First off. I want to talk cover. This one deserves a cover talk. 

Sexy. 

Im not the type to find shirtless guys on the covers a sexy book. I have so much more respect for a fully clothed sexy cover xD and this is one of those that just caught my attention. Then I had gone to the description of the book and was like... I need it in my life. So I contacted the proper people and the puclisher was kind enough so send me a copy.

Book itself

So I have always been a fan of like... retelling stories, I dont know why, I just always find them so interesting for authors to add their own twist, especially stories that have been modernized such as this one. 

I love the way that its written. Some parts of the book might be

just

like

this.

And I found it funny because thats sometimes the way I text xD I feel like sometimes its the only way to get the proper emotion across xD its weird xD like an additional dramatic pause it added.

Now. There is a scene about the murder mystery dinner... That sounds like so much fun!!! I cant even xD it was a fairly short scene in my opinion, like things sometimes seemed to go a bit fast, but when I read that scene I was like 

Damn.

I need to have one of those dinners in my lifetime. 

ANYWAYSSSSS.

The ending... The ending killed me. Firstly, the ending was symbolic as *&%$, if you know the original story from real history, youll get it. At first I was kind of mad but then I was like no, this is the way it SHOULD be done, I like it!I felt so bad for Anne though u.u 

One of the things I didnt like about this book was that I felt like I was missing some parts xD Like at points the story would go really fast or as if I was simply missing some text in my book or something. But still, it didnt make in a bad book. I still enjoyed it.

Recommend it?

Yups, this is a good in between books type of book.
